Apply for a PAN Card Correction / Changes
Who can apply?This online form is applicable to existing PAN Card holders and when data associated with a PAN card (like Name of Applicant / Father's Name / Date of Birth / Address) requires change or correction, an application for change can be made. A new PAN card with the same PAN number is issued and corrected data is updated in the Income Tax Department’s database.
Who should apply for a change or correction in PAN card ?One should make an application when he/she wants to make some changes or corrections in their existing PAN details such as Change in applicant name, on account of marriage or due to spelling mistake Change in father's name Change in date of birth etc.
Procedure for PAN Card Correction
1. Fill up the form, Confirm the information and make the payment online with PayU.
3. Any applicant wrongly filled any detail in application form while applying online, then the applicant can correct the detail by using whitener
4. Two colored passport photos with plain background(only in case of individuals) should be pasted/affixed (strapless) in the two boxes provided at top of the application as below.
5. Make 3 signatures in Blank Ink (see Sample Form on website) as below :-
1) In the box below the right hand side photo (Nothing on Photo).
2) Across the Left hand side photo (partialy on paper and partially on photo).
3) In the Bottom Box in right hand side
6. Name and father's name should exactly match with identity proof such as Driving license or Passport or Other proofs as per list of Identity Proofs.
7. In case of minor, application should be signed by guardian only with the photos of minor and only ID of the guardian should be required.
8. If you select office address as your communication address, then original Employer’s Certificate in NSDL format is required .
9. Send hard copy of application complete in all respect (2 photos and 3 signatures in black ink) along with copy of original pancard and proof/s of identity, address and date of birth by speed post/registered post) or courier at following address :-

10. After receiving hard copy of your application complete in all respect, your aplication will be got processed and a 15 digit Numbered acknowledgement/receipt will be sent on your e-mail. You may/should track/check status of your PAN application after 7 days from the date of this receipt by clicking on 'Pan Status' on www.taxraj.com
